FAQ for Express Hand Washing

The duration of a hand car wash can vary depending on factors like the type of wash chosen, the size of the vehicle, and the efficiency of the car wash system.

On average, a basic exterior car hand wash typically takes around 15 minutes, while more comprehensive detailing services may take 4 hours or longer.

The frequency of waxing your vehicle depends on factors such as the type of wax used, weather conditions, and how often you wash your car. Generally, waxing every 3 to 6 months is recommended to maintain protection and shine. However, consider waxing more frequently if your car is exposed to harsh weather or environmental contaminants.

You should try to remove any accessories from the vehicle to ensure no damage occurs.

You can wash your vehicle every day if you wanted to, just be sure you are not using any abrasive chemicals or brushes that can damage your paint.

FAQ for Ceramic Coating

Exterior coating and paint correction have played important roles in the development of car culture movements. Historically, hot-rodders, lowriders, and street tuners relied on old-fashioned waxes and sealants to protect and showcase their rides.

Nowadays, however, ceramic coating has emerged as the best solution for vehicle owners who wish to achieve a show-car shine with superior protection and minimal maintenance effort. Here are the most frequently asked questions on this technique:

Ceramic coating is an advanced liquid polymer that bonds to automotive body paint; it creates a hardened layer for color enhancement and long-term protection. For car owners who appreciate exterior aesthetics, ceramic coatings are the best solution to protect paint; this is why they are becoming popular among car collectors, street tuners, lowriders, and anyone who wants to guard against paint deterioration.

The base chemistry of ceramic coatings is silicon dioxide, a compound forming a hardened and glossy layer to protect the surface paint from hard water, scratches, UV rays, and environmental contaminants such as bird droppings, salty ocean breeze, acid rain, and general air pollution. The molecular bonding is done by long-lasting coupling agents developed with nanotechnology.

Ceramic coatings are hydrophobic, which means they are formidable at repelling water. The nanoparticles of the advanced polymers absorb UV rays to protect the paint from intense sunshine. The hardened surface is resilient enough to withstand scratches, such as when someone wearing studded jeans leans against the front end of your car.

There are various techniques to preserve automotive body paint, but ceramic coating is hands-down the best in terms of effectiveness and value; if it had been available to hot-rodders and street tuners in the 20th century, they would have traded all the hours they spent waxing their cars for a ceramic coating application.

You should go with a ceramic coating application for more than just saving on automotive wax, rags, and time spent. This technique aims to enhance and lock in the paint for years; in other words, if you want to preserve the look of your car, truck, or SUV now, ceramic coating is the answer. This covers the effectiveness; now let’s talk about the value proposition of this long-term automotive care strategy.

There was a time when ceramic coating could only be afforded by car owners who enjoyed plenty of disposable income, like a Ferrari collector living in Monaco in the 2000s. Thanks to advancements in polymer technology, ceramic coating applications are now affordable to a larger segment of vehicle owners, and they are valuable enough to be included in CarFax reports, which we explain below.

Certified and trustworthy installers who work with us will report a completed ceramic coating application to CarFax upon completion. This shows potential car buyers that you have invested in protecting your car’s exterior. This is a selling point for buyers who value a pristine finish, and we are talking about the type of buyers with deeper pockets.

If you try to go DIY with this technique, the CarFax report will not reflect it unless you are a certified installer using specific products, not those sketchy bottles sold on Instagram by alluring influencers posing next to a cherry-red Mustang from the 80s.

The effective lifespan of our applications starts at two years with our Sapphire coating. For a longer lifespan, you can choose our Emerald application, which is a four-year product. Want to go a little longer? Ask about our Graphene coating, which is good for five years, and then you have Aqua Marine lasting six years. If you and your car are in it for the long haul, our Obsidian ceramic coating will protect the paint for seven years. This is recommended for car collectors.

We also offer other ceramic coating products for other surfaces. Pearl, for example, is our vinyl and leather coating that delivers protection for a year. Amethyst is our glass coating product, which is highly appreciated by drivers who spend many hours on the road, and it lasts about six months or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

  • We first use an iron removal soap that will get rid of contaminants such as iron deposits, rail dust, and industrial fallout.
  • Our next step is to wash the vehicle with our super suds car wash. This soap has a polymer that help lubricate the next process, clay treatment.
  • All vehicles must undergo a paint correction process that requires clay treatment. This is accomplished with products such as Triple Threat and Ultra Clean. The surface of the vehicle must be smooth to the touch so that the ceramic coating nanoparticles can bond to the paint.
  • The paint correction continues with the touch-up of scratches, swirls, or other imperfections using a buffer with a compound primer polish.
  • The car is then masked off as if it was going to be repainted.
  • The application is completed in sections using microfiber or foam applicators to spread a thin layer of coating onto the paint surface.
  • Depending on the coating product, the sections may require curing that can take a few hours up to 24 hours. During this time, the vehicle cannot get wet. If its a nice sunny day, the vehicle can be left in the sun to speed up the curing process but must be parked away from trees or anywhere debris can fall on the vehicle.
  • A final inspection and buffing, if needed, complete the ceramic coating process
