Here is a breakdown of the steps a certified installer from our team goes through:
Cleaning
The first step is to give the vehicle a thorough cleaning. This isn’t just a regular wash. Installers will remove all the dirt and grime from the surface. Then they’ll use specialized shampoos and iron cleaners to ensure the vehicle is spotless.
Clay Treatment or Decontamination
The next step is the clay treatment. This involves using a clay bar to remove contaminants from the vehicle’s surface. The clay bar ensures the surface is clean and smooth.
Paint Correction
The paint correction step involves polishing the vehicle so that any imperfections, such as scratches or marks, are removed. This step is important because once our installers apply the ceramic coating, any imperfections will be visible. Florida Sudz Paint correction is a multiple stage process. We first use a compound then we move on to a Primer Polish so that the paint is smooth as silk.
Surface Preparation with a Degreaser
Next, the vehicle is wiped down with a degreaser, we usean isopropyl alcohol solution, to remove any oils or grease that may have clung to the vehicle’s surface.
Jade Obsidian Ceramic Coating
Finally, we apply the ceramic coating. At Jade Ceramic, one of our favorite products is obsidian ceramic coating because it gives vehicles long-term protection. A certified installer will apply it in carefully controlled conditions to ensure there is even and smooth coverage. The coating is then allowed to cure for 24 hours. If it is a sunny day, the car can be left in the sun to speed up the curing process. Just be sure not park near any trees.
